Ready To Continue The Tradition
Family, Friends, Camping, The Frio River March 27th, 2007The years have passed and all our children are grown. When one day, a couple of them came to us and said,” We are ready to continue the tradition of camping at Garner State Park.” We do not want our children to miss out on something that has meant so much to us. In the fast paced world of today it is still the same. Children only ask for small things, not hi-tech toys, designer clothes etc…..just TIME. Time can not be bought with money. Garner State Park gave us that time. Friends and family alike all looked forward to the time we would pack the tent, chairs, foods, etc…. and head for the (cold) Frio river. August will not get her fast enough. As my 5 year old grandson would say,”Don’t forget to bring Candy Land and the Uno cards for night time around the campfire.”
