Images of Rage - 2007 Flood Pictures from Garner
Camping, The Frio River July 2nd, 2007One of our readers was kind enough to send over some pictures they had of the recent floods out at Garner. I’ve been there when it was pretty bad, but I’ve never witnessed anything like this; however I do think my parents were there when a major flood washed out much of the park a few years back.

We were one of the people that had to cancel, we were gonna be in Oakmont, tent camping. Too chancy. I will miss the time dearly.

It is amazing how fast water can rise! Nice video.
If you love Garner, yodeling cowboys, and boot-wearing Texas angels, there is a just released, hot off the press novel out which is set in Garner State Park. The novel, titled “Jack Rabbit Moon” can be purchased online at www.dorrainedarden.com. The Vistor’s Center in the park carries the book as well. Don’t miss a lush ride down the Frio river and watch out for floods!
